I find it rather funny that President Obama has raised taxes on tanning. My friend was telling me about it the other day so I thought it would be worth writing about.
The law went into effect on July 1 as a part of the Health Care Law. According to the law, a 10% tax will be enforced on indoor tanning. This doesn't upset me because I don't do indoor tanning, it's just hilarious.
ABC News says that industry leaders are worried because they fear that the people who use indoor tanning are going to cut back. Oh well, this is bad for the salons and the tanning bed industry (which I had no idea existed), but it won't be bad for people's skin.
